Bath Shower Screens

A bath screen keeps the water in the bath when you shower over it, which a curtain never quite manages and never looks as good doing. Ours come in square, D-shaped, L-shaped and curved profiles at 1400mm tall, with fixed and hinged panels, towel rails and finishes from chrome to brushed brass.

What size bath screen do I need?

Almost all bath screens are 1400mm tall, which is the height that works over a standard bath without you having to duck. Width is the decision. Ours run from 700mm up to 869mm, and wider gives you better coverage at the tap end where most of the spray escapes. Measure across the top of your bath from the wall outwards, and check there's nothing in the way of the fixing, like a tiled recess or a boxed-in pipe.

Which shape of bath screen should I choose?

Square screens have a straight top edge and suit modern rooms with squared-off tiling and brassware. D-shaped screens curve at the top corner, which softens the look and takes the sharp edge off a screen you walk past every day. L-shaped screens are built for L-shaped shower baths, following the step where the bath widens out. Browse by profile in our square bath screens if you already know which way you're going.

What's the difference between a single screen and one with an inline panel?

A single screen is one panel, usually hinged, covering roughly the showering third of the bath. A screen with an inline panel adds a fixed section, typically 300mm wide, alongside a 700mm hinged panel. That extra glass covers more of the bath length and catches the spray that gets past a single panel, which matters if your shower is powerful or your bathroom floor is timber. Compare fixed screens and hinged screens to see how each one behaves.

Will any screen fit any bath?

No, and this is the one that catches people out. Straight baths take a standard screen, but shaped baths often need a screen made for that specific model, because the curve of the glass has to follow the curve of the bath rim to seal properly. The Cleo and Ethan curved screens here are exactly that: made for those baths and no others. If you have a shaped or corner bath, check the product page names the bath, or call us before ordering.

Does it matter which end of the bath the screen goes?

The screen goes at the tap end, where you stand to shower. Whether it fits on the left or the right depends on your room, and many single panel screens are reversible so they'll do either. Check the product page before you order, since a screen that only hangs one way is no use on the wrong wall. If you're replacing a bath at the same time, decide which end the taps sit at first and let that drive the screen.

What finishes and glass do you offer?

Chrome frames cover most of the range, with a brushed brass straight edge screen for rooms built around warmer metals. Glass is toughened safety glass, 6mm on the models where the thickness is listed, and thicker glass feels more solid in use as well as looking it. Several screens include an integrated towel rail, which is genuinely useful when the alternative is a wet towel on the floor.

Most screens here carry a 5 year guarantee, with 10 years on the Clia. Prices start at £93.99. Every order comes with 365-day returns and free delivery over £50 on a date you choose, and the details sit on our delivery information page. While you're planning, a matching bath panel and shower set are worth ordering together so the finishes match.
