What is a shower suite?

It's a complete bathroom designed around a shower rather than a bath. The enclosure and tray come with a toilet and basin chosen to match, and many of ours add a vanity unit, a back-to-wall toilet unit, or even the shower itself. Without a bath taking up the length of the room, you gain space for generous storage, a roomier shower, or simply more floor to enjoy, which is why shower suites are the go-to for ensuites and modern main bathrooms alike.

What is included in a shower suite?

It varies, and some of our suites take care of almost everything. Our Radiant corner suite keeps it classic, with an 800mm quadrant enclosure, a basin and pedestal, and a toilet. Step up to our Linnea Cashmere suites and you'll find a 1000mm vanity unit and back-to-wall toilet unit paired with a 1200mm enclosure in clear or smoked glass, finished with gold hardware. At the top of the range, our Linnea walk-in suite brings together a wall hung vanity unit, a 1700mm walk-in enclosure, and a brushed brass digital shower. Which shower enclosure is best for my shower suite?

The shape of your room will usually make the decision for you.

In a compact ensuite, a quadrant enclosure curves into the corner, leaving the floor in front clear and easy to move around.
With a little more space, a 1200mm corner enclosure gives you room to turn around comfortably, with a hinged or sliding door depending on the suite.
In a larger bathroom, a 1700mm walk-in enclosure drops the door altogether, so you simply step in under the water.

Should I replace my bath with a shower suite?

If your bath is mostly used for storing the kids' toys or catching drips from the shower above it, the answer is probably yes. A walk-in shower can often fit where the bath once stood, giving you a bigger, more comfortable shower that's easier to step into and far quicker to clean. Keep at least one bath in the house if you have young children or plan to sell, but for an ensuite or second bathroom, a shower suite is a much better use of the space. Are shower suites a good choice for an ensuite?

They're the natural choice. A shower needs a fraction of the floor space a bath does, so even a modest ensuite can have a comfortable enclosure, a vanity unit with proper storage, and room to get ready without bumping elbows. Do shower suites come with a shower?

Others leave the shower to you, which is a chance to choose exactly how you'd like your mornings to feel.
