Giving Back to Our Community

For over 40 years, Bathroom City has been proud to support the communities that have supported us. While we now serve customers across the UK, our roots remain firmly in Birmingham, and we believe in giving back wherever we can. From local schools and community centres to animal sanctuaries, charities and fundraising events, we're passionate about supporting the people and organisations making a positive difference. As a family-run business, we understand the importance of community. That's why we're committed to helping local causes, championing worthwhile projects and contributing to initiatives that bring people together.
LADYPOOL PRIMARY SCHOOL
World Book Day

Every child deserves a library that makes them want to pick up a book. On World Book Day, Bathroom City Chairman Dash Virdee returned to Ladypool Primary School — the school where his own education began — to fund a complete refresh of the school library. The donation put new books on the shelves and gave students access to a wider, more diverse range of stories, characters and voices than the library had been able to offer before.

For Dash, the visit was personal. Ladypool Primary is where his journey started, and supporting the next generation of students there is something that matters to him beyond the business. Education opens doors that stay open for life, and a well-stocked library is one of the simplest, most lasting ways to give children the tools to walk through them. The donation is part of Bathroom City's wider commitment to giving back to the communities that have shaped us — starting with the ones closest to home.

RSPCA Centre
Wood Shaving Donation for Coventry

A new off-lead play area for dogs at the RSPCA’s animal rescue centre in Coventry has just been built and Bathroom City was delighted to be able to help. With our furniture factory producing huge amounts of wood shavings, we were able to donate nine industrial-sized bags to the centre for them to lay on the ground. When making the delivery we were given a tour of the centre and got to meet a very excited dog called Sam (pictured) who the RSPCA team have rescued and need to find a home for.

Animal Care Assistant Nathan Moxham-Atkin said: “Thank you Bathroom City for this donation. This area gives the dogs a different sensory experience than when playing on concrete or grass. It is going to be very beneficial for the dog’s enrichment and welfare – they’ll love it.”

Each year the centre rescues rehabilitates and rehomes over a 1,000 animals who’ve been neglected or cruelly treated. To find out more about or the work of the centre then call 024 76336616.
