What is a quadrant shower tray?

It's a corner shower tray with two straight sides that sit against the walls and a curved front edge. That curve matches the glass of a quadrant enclosure, so everything lines up neatly and water stays exactly where it should. Because the front is rounded rather than square, a quadrant tray takes up less floor space, making it a favourite for ensuites and smaller bathrooms.

What sizes do quadrant shower trays come in?

Our quadrant shower trays come in two shapes, so you can match the tray to your corner.

Standard quadrants are equal on both sides, in 800 x 800mm and 900 x 900mm.
Offset quadrants are longer on one side, in 1000 x 800mm, 1200 x 800mm, and 1200 x 900mm, giving you extra room to move.

How do I measure for a quadrant shower tray?

Measure along each wall from the very corner to where you'd like the shower to finish. If both measurements are the same, you'll need a standard quadrant. If one wall is longer, an offset quadrant is the one for you. The curve of the tray needs to match the curve of your enclosure too, so check the product pages for both before you order. Buying the two together is the easiest way to be sure everything fits perfectly.

Do I need a left or right hand offset quadrant tray?

It depends on which wall the longer side will sit against. Stand facing the corner. If the longer side runs along the wall on your left, you'll need a left hand tray. If it runs along the wall on your right, you'll need a right hand one. Always make sure your tray and enclosure are the same hand, so the glass lines up perfectly with the curve.

Where is the waste on a quadrant shower tray?

The waste position varies from tray to tray. Some sit towards the back corner, while others sit closer to the curved front, so it's worth checking the product page against where your existing waste pipe runs. If your pipe runs above the floor rather than beneath it, a raised shower tray with a riser kit will hide the pipework neatly away.

How do I fit a quadrant shower tray?

It's all about getting the base right. The floor needs to be solid and level, and the tray should sit perfectly flat, so water drains properly and your curved doors glide smoothly on top. Take your time with the spirit level, seal every edge carefully, and let the silicone cure fully before your first shower.
