What is a rectangular shower enclosure?

It's a corner shower that's longer along one wall than the other. A 900 x 800mm model, for example, runs 900mm along one wall and 800mm along the other, with a glass door and side panel closing off the front. That extra length is what makes it so comfortable. You get a noticeably roomier shower, without the enclosure dominating the bathroom.

Should I choose a rectangular or square shower enclosure?

Let your corner make the call. If one wall gives you more length than the other, a rectangular enclosure uses every bit of it, so you're not left with a dead gap beside a square shower. If both walls are roughly equal, a square shower enclosurewill be the neater fit. And if floor space outside the shower is tight, an offset quadrant shower enclosure gives you similar length with a curved front that's easier to walk around.

What sizes do rectangular shower enclosures come in?

Measure along both walls from the corner, then match your figures to one of our three sizes.

900 x 700mm slots neatly into a narrow ensuite or slim shower room.
900 x 760mm adds just enough depth to make every shower feel more relaxed.
900 x 800mm is the roomiest of the three, with plenty of space to move.

Should I choose a bifold or pivot door?

It all comes down to what's sitting in front of your shower.

A bifold shower door folds neatly inwards as it opens, making it the clever choice when a toilet or basin sits close by. It's available in all three sizes.
A pivot shower door swings open for a wider, easier way in, perfect if you have a little clear floor in front. It's available in 900 x 800mm.

Can I fit a rectangular shower enclosure against one wall?

That frees you from the corner completely, and you can place the shower wherever it works best for the room.
