What is the difference between a mono basin mixer and a 3 hole mixer?

A mono basin mixer has a single body and fits a basin with one tap hole. A 3 hole mixer has a separate spout and two handles, and needs a basin with three tap holes. Check how many tap holes your basin has before you choose.

Do I need a tall basin mixer?

Choose a tall basin mixer if you have a countertop or vessel basin that sits on top of a vanity unit or worktop. The taller body lets the spout reach over the rim of the bowl. For a standard basin with a tap hole in the ceramic, a standard height mono mixer is the right fit, and a mini mixer suits small cloakroom basins.

Will a basin mixer tap work with low water pressure?

Many basin mixers need a minimum water pressure to work well, and some are designed for high pressure systems only. If you have a gravity-fed or low pressure system, check the minimum operating pressure listed in the specification of each tap, or contact our team for advice before you buy.

Do basin mixer taps come with a waste?

Many of our basin mixers include a click clack waste, and this is shown in the product title. If a tap is supplied without a waste, choose one to suit your basin: a slotted waste for basins with an overflow, or an unslotted waste for basins without one.

How do I choose the right height of basin mixer?

Measure from the top of your basin to the rim of the bowl. The spout should reach comfortably over the bowl, with a gap of around 20mm to 30mm to the rim. Standard mono mixers suit most basins with a tap hole, tall mixers suit countertop and vessel basins, and mini mixers suit small cloakroom basins.

How do I keep a black or gold basin tap looking new?

Clean the tap with warm soapy water and a soft cloth, then dry it to prevent water marks. Avoid abrasive pads, bleach and limescale removers, which can damage coloured and brushed finishes over time.
