Vanity Units
A bathroom vanity unit pairs a basin with built-in storage, hiding the pipework and leaving you a clear surface to use. Our vanity units run from 325mm cloakroom sizes up to 1600mm doubles, in wall hung and freestanding designs. Pick from white, grey, black, green, oak and cashmere finishes, with integrated, countertop or semi-recessed basins. Small enough for a guest cloakroom, roomy enough for a family bathroom. Every one is backed by a 5-year guarantee.
What is a vanity unit?
A vanity unit is a bathroom cabinet with a basin built into the top. You get storage below for toiletries and cleaning bits, and the waste pipe and trap stay hidden behind a door or drawer. People also call it a sink unit, an under-sink cabinet or a vanity unit with a basin. If you're weighing one up against open shelving, our guide to vanity units versus bathroom cabinets helps you decide, or read what a vanity unit is for the basics.

A vanity unit with a basin is one of the most effective ways to enhance both the functionality and appearance of your bathroom. Some of the main benefits include:
- Clever Storage – Keep toiletries, cleaning products, and daily essentials tidy inside an under sink cabinet.
- Concealed Plumbing – Hide pipework for a clean, seamless finish.
- Design Focal Point – A bathroom vanity becomes a standout feature with options to suit any décor.
- Extra Surface Space – Ideal for soaps, toothbrush holders, and decorative touches.
- Simplified Installation – Integrated sink and cabinet design reduces fitting time.
- Durability – Moisture-resistant materials ensure your bathroom sink unit lasts for years.
Our bathroom vanity range features designs suitable for every layout, from compact cloakrooms to spacious family bathrooms.
- Cloakroom Vanity Units – Space-saving sink vanity units ideal for tight guest toilets and small bathrooms.
- Floor-Standing Vanity Units – Classic bathroom sink cabinets that sit directly on the floor for effortless installation.
- Wall Hung Vanity Units – Floating bathroom vanities that open up floor space and create a clean, modern look.
- Corner Vanity Units – Clever sink units designed to utilise awkward corners without sacrificing storage.
- Double Sink Vanity Units – Twin-basin vanity units perfect for busy households needing extra space.
- Toilet and Sink Combination Vanity Units – Compact all-in-one units combining WC and basin for maximum efficiency.
- Countertop Vanity Units – Stylish cabinets topped with vessel basins, ideal for contemporary bathroom designs.
Read our nine things to consider when buying a vanity unit to help you decide the right type for your space.
It comes down to your wall and your floor. Wall hung vanity units fix straight to the wall with nothing touching the floor, which makes a room feel bigger and the floor quick to clean. They need a solid wall or a support frame to carry the weight of the unit, basin and water. Freestanding vanity units rest on the floor, so they're the easier fit and don't lean on wall strength. Wall hung reads modern; freestanding works in both classic and modern rooms.
Our vanity units span 325mm to 1600mm. For a guest toilet, small vanity units keep things tight. A 600mm vanity unit is the most common single size and suits most bathrooms, while narrower widths work in tighter spots. For two basins or a real storage boost, sizes climb to 1600mm. Need more room? Large vanity units add drawers and cupboard space for bigger bathrooms.
Heights range from 800mm to 850mm, and depths from roughly 350mm to 500mm. Check the depth won't foul a door or drawer before you order. Measure your wall space first, then match the width to the sizes below to find the right one for you. Check our guide to how to measure your bathroom to find the right size for you.
In a small bathroom or en-suite, a wall hung unit is usually the smart pick, since the clear floor beneath tricks the eye into seeing more space. A narrow cloakroom size, from 325mm, fits where a full unit won't.
Our range of vanity units comes in a wide range of styles. White stays the safe, bright choice, while grey and cashmere give a softer, warmer feel. For something bolder, we stock black and green vanity units, plus oak finishes for a wooden look. You can match the hardware too, with gold, black or chrome handles across the range. Browse by colour in white vanity units, grey vanity units and black vanity units, or add a warm metallic with our gold bathroom furniture.
Vanity units are mainly made from the following two materials:
Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF)
MDF is produced by binding small fibres of hardwood or softwood with resin and wax. Since high temperature and pressure are involved in the manufacturing process, this material is sturdy and durable.
The smooth surface of MDF can be painted, making it easy to mimic wood.
Melamine Faced Chipboard (MFC)
MFC is produced by blending wood chips and shavings with a strong resin adhesive. The main features of this inexpensive material are it is durable and scratch-resistant.
The basin is included with our vanity units as standard. Taps and waste fittings are usually listed separately, so check the product page. Countertop basin models, where the basin sits on top of the cabinet, need a tall basin mixer to clear the raised rim. If you'd like to pick your own, browse our basin taps.
Start by turning off the water and taking out the old basin. Set the new unit in place and check its level. Wall hung units need fixing securely into studs, masonry or a support frame; freestanding units just need light bracing so they can't tip. Connect the tap and waste, seal any gaps with silicone, then run the water and check for leaks. For the full method, follow our guide on how to fit a vanity unit. If the plumbing needs moving, get a professional in.
Every vanity unit in our range carries a 5-year guarantee. Day to day, wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and skip abrasive cleaners, which can dull a gloss or matt finish. Mop up splashes around the basin so water doesn't sit on the joints. Learn more about how to care for bathroom furniture in our helpful guide.
