Wall Hung or Freestanding: Which is Right for My Bathroom?

Wall hung vanity units are fixed to the wall with no floor contact, leaving the floor beneath the unit clear. This makes the bathroom feel more spacious and simplifies cleaning. They require solid wall fixings or a frame behind the wall to take the load. Freestanding vanity units sit on the floor and are simpler to install — they do not require structural wall fixings beyond light bracing for stability. Semi-recessed basins project partially beyond the unit front; fully recessed basins sit flush within the unit top.
